We walk some more

We walk amongst tall trees

When you point to the ground

I see a dying leaf

You show me the moon

We walk some more

Until you find a fallen pink flower

You hold it in your possessive hands

Together with your choo choo trains

We walk some more

Until we reach a flowing stream

Where you hand me the sweating flower

To search for that perfect bit of bark

You drop your chosen piece into the water

Following it with your curious eyes and feet

Soon you lose sight of it

So you give your trains a wash

We walk some more

Until you find branches broken by the wind

Big one for mummy, little one for baby

Together we give the earth a sweep

We walk some more

Until you find a stick

You add it to your collection

It’s a piece for your choo choo bridge

We walk some more

Until we find our tree

By the river, beside the red sand

She offers us shade for a yummy snack

Sitting on the bench

Listening to pretty birds

Throwing stones to make a splash

We patiently wait for the bubbles to appear

We walk some more

Until we meet the frolicking duckling

A mother duck stands guard nearby

She and I watch your worlds go by.
